Corporate member spotlight on Artisan Industries Inc. and JET-VAC Technologies

This week, Sterling Bollman, the head of Advertising and Sponsorship Sales at AOCS, talked with Caitlin Powers, the Marketing Director for Artisan Industries Inc. and JET-VAC Technologies, based in Stoughton, MA. In this conversation, AOCS learned about innovations Artisan Industries has developed and what really sets them apart from their competitors. Thanks for joining me Caitlin! We are thrilled to continue our “Corporate Member Spotlight” series with Artisan Industries. My first question is a basic, background one. What types of products and services does your company provide?

At Artisan Industries, we work closely with customers in multiple industries and applications. Our highly experienced engineers continually invest in new separation methods and set new industry standards for thermal separation process solutions. Artisan Industries adheres to fundamental scientific principles in determining which proprietary solutions will best suit your specific application. From simple to complex separations, Artisan Industries partners with global industry leaders to help manufacture products more efficiently and at lower cost. 

Since you work in multiple industries, I feel like that could lead to Artisan having many competitors. What would you say differentiates you from other companies in the same field?

At Artisan, we engineer process solutions specific to our customers’ application needs. We also provide pilot-scale testing that provides proof of concept prior to upscaling processes. 

With all the focus on quality and customer service, there has to be plenty of opportunities for new innovation. What is an innovation you are proud to offer at Artisan Industries? 

We are very proud of the advancements we have made in our process solutions. We have patented our specific process to remove toxins from edible oils with our evaporator stripper technology. 

An emphasis on innovation is incredibly important, especially during these tough times. In what ways has the COVID19 situation affected Artisan Industries and what do you foresee being the biggest issues in the coming year? 

Thankfully, we were able to remain open and able to provide our services. We work with essential businesses and were a big part of maintaining spares and equipment to ensure these companies had absolutely no downtime during the pandemic. 

As far as new challenges for the rest of the year, we are concerned with providing new and updated technologies to industries that may have not been so lucky during the pandemic. Many have seen a major change in their application processes due to financial stress and changes in production due to COVID. We just hope we can help these companies navigate these tricky times. 

This has been incredibly helpful in finding out more information on everything Artisan Industries and JET-VAC Technologies does in the field.

The membership is important to us. Especially during these times, the ability to network and connect with others in the industry and to ensure our capabilities are well-known in the industry are a must and AOCS and their numerous channels help us complete those goals.
