Cost Accountant 11-2011

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team. Candidate must have a BS in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in cost accounting in a shop floor manufacturing environment.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish, improve and monitor job cost collection processes
  • Report job financial performance against estimate
  • Perform analysis of manufacturing costs and variances
  • Work closely with manufacturing to refine estimates and cost reduction initiatives
  • Participate in the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system with engineering and manufacturing team members
  • Assist in month-end/year-end close functions
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience working in an ERP system environment. Experience using Vantage (by Epicor) a plus
  • Requires strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve
  • Demonstrates active listening skills and articulates ideas in a clear, concise manner
  • Shows ability to communicate with all levels of the corporation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, to prioritize, handle interruptions, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as successfully in a team environment

Business Systems Analyst 11-2011

We are seeking a hands-on systems / ERP analyst with direct experience implementing fully-integrated ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.

The Business Systems Analyst will direct and lead the re-implementation of our ERP systems and alignment/redevelopment of our businesses process so as to maximize the benefits of these systems.

This is a highly visible role and requires someone with strong interpersonal skills and a strong background in Project Management.


Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the workflow behind the manufacturing process and be well-versed in enterprise software applications, databases, and user support
  • Candidate must have a BS in Finance/Accounting/Business or IT with roughly 5-10 years of experience
  • Must have strong systems Implementation background. Experience working with Epicor (Vantage) would be a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of employees
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively present and explain technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Lead and contribute to all phases of implementations, including requirement gathering, design, development, user training, data conversion, testing, documentation, configuration and maintenance
  • Excellent understanding of discrete manufacturing, supply chain planning processes with ability to independently perform system setups is necessary
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments

Plant Maintenance Technician 11-2011

We are currently engaged in a search for an experienced Plant Maintenance Technician. As a member of the Artisan team, the ideal candidate would perform the following functions:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs and adjustments to structures and equipment including minor plumbing, painting, electric, and carpentry. Also specialty items such as doors, locks, door closures, furniture or other general mechanical items
  • Snow removal and landscaping
  • Operate powered lifts and/or fork trucks
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be available to work on-call during off hours to assist with emergencies related to facility and equipment operation and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Perform preventative maintenance

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Skill in the use of small hand tools and small power tools
  • Basic skills in carpentry, electrical, painting, and plumbing
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions with limited supervision
  • Standard safe practices using tools of the trade
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-5 years experience in facilities and operations maintenance
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Machinists 11-2011

We are seeking talented Machinists to set up and operate both manual & CNC horizontal lathes and large manual VTL’s. Short run/prototype experience and ability to read prints and inspect parts required. Experience with large parts is also required. 1st and 3rd shift available.

5+ years related work experience.
