Our Capabilities at a Glance |
Fabrication
The Artisan workshops are housed in a 50,000 sq. ft. facility. Our multi-story work space is equipped with cranes up to 33 tons capacity and fork lifts up to 15 tons capacity. Artisan has assembled pieces resulting in weight over 20 tons, and systems with footprints of 10 ft. x 27 ft. and heights of 47 ft.
Our equipment includes:
- 6 CNC Machining Centers
- 4 VTL's to 101" under rail. 104" swing
- 3 HBM's to 30,000 Lbs. under 7" dia. spindle
- 7 Milling Machines
- 11 Lathes to 32" swing & 144" between centers
- 1 Radial Drill
- Metal Shearing, Forming & Punching
- Saw Cutting & Metal Finishing

Weld Processes
A large portion of our work is done to ASME pressure vessel codes and military and industrial specifications using the following welding processes:
- B, TB - Brazing, Torch Brazing
- FCAW - Flux Cored Arc Welding
- GMAW - Gas Metal Arc Welding, also known as MIG welding
- GTAW - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, also known as TIG welding or Heli-Arc
- OAW - Oxyacetylene Welding
- PAC - Plasma Arc Cutting
- SAW - Submerged Arc Welding
- SMAW - Shielded Metal Arc Welding, also known as stick welding
Artisan can also develop the welding procedures you require and provide complete documentation. Inspections are carried out by dedicated in-house welding inspectors. |
QA/QC ProgramA comprehensive quality assurance program is the result of over 60 years of service to government and commercial markets. Full-time inspectors and the quality control manager oversee all aspects of a project during production.
Our QA/QC program includes:
- Inspection equipment that meets MIL-I-45208A
- Inspection equipment calibrations to MIL-Std.45662
- Romer® Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine
- In-House Nondestructive Testing:
- x-ray (RT)
- magnetic partical (MT)
- liquid penetrant (PT)
- hydrotesting
- vacuum leak (LT)
- visual (VT)
