Packaged Scrubber Unit for treatment of laboratory vent and fumes |
The application of wet scrubber technology offers a convenient and reliable way to remove and neutralize acid fumes, noxious laboratory gases, particulates, odors, dust, condensable contaminates, etc. Properly matching the scrubber fluid that contacts the air or gas feed stream enhances the effectiveness of the purification process. For example, particulate contaminates are eliminated by impact with the spray of the scrubber liquid, gases and odors are removed by adsorption or reaction, acids are neutralized by basic solutions, and other contaminates are simply condensed into the liquid stream.
The JET-VAC® scrubber process works by using the JET-VAC® "Scrubber Jet" to suck any contaminated fumes and gases into the flow of wash fluid such as dilute sodium hydroxide. The intimate mixing of the air/gas stream with the liquid stream produces an effective and instant cleaning or washing phenomenon. The air/gas mixture, now scrubbed of contaminates, is separated from the wash liquid in a separation tank. The washing fluid is recycled and continuously reused. |
