The laboratory Rototherm^® has approximately 1/2 sq. ft. of electropolished evaporation surface, an electropolished rotor, a sanitary seal and an explosion proof motor. Depending on the operating conditions and solvents involved, the system can process 12 to 18 liters per hour. Evaporation of up to 99% of the solvent can be achieved in a single pass (less than 30 seconds exposure to the evaporating temperature). With some materials, the Rototherm^® produces dry powder.

Provided on a user-friendly cart, the Artisan Rototherm can be used in a walk-in hood or moved about the laboratory or pilot plant. The evaporation system is designed for ease of operation and cleaning.
