 Designed specifically for processing fouling solutions or solutions containing solids, the Dualflo® tray is a proven low-cost component that is easy to install and easy to clean. The trays, in fact, stay clean longer in fouling service because the openings are scrubbed by the turbulence created during operation.
Used for over thirty years in more than seventy installations, the Dualflo® tray has been furnished in sizes from six inches to seven feet.
Operation PrincipleWith no downcomer, the liquid and vapor streams flow countercurrent to each other through the same openings in the tray.
UsesArtisan Dualflo® proprietary steam-stripping technology is hard at work in a variety of the most difficult applications including:
- Removing contaminant levels down to low PPBs ( non-detectable range )
- Reducing contaminant volume to a concentrate with high BTU value
- Distilling solids containing and fouling materials
- Processing feeds containing dissolved and suspended solids with no pre-treatment in most cases
- Stripping off light aromatic hydrocarbons, all common chlorinated solvents, low MW alcohols, miscellaneous solvents, and other hydrocarbons
- For use in fractionation, stripping, deodorizing, or any other operation requiring gas-liquid contact
Operating Parameters
- Pressure Drop: 0.5" to 4.0" of fluid
- F Factor: 0.6 to 2.2
- Efficiency: Equal to or higher than bubble cap or sieve trays with downcomers
